Which way should you spin during the summer or winter?

"OK...so the most common technical question that people ask regarding ceiling fans is "What direction should my fan spin during the summer and winter" and "Why?"


"During the summer you want the fan to blow air straight down, so your ceiling fan needs to run in a counter clockwise direction (as you look up at it). The warmer it is, the higher the speed should be. During the winter, your fan should run at a low speed in a clockwise direction."

First of all, I apologize that you were not able to reach us by phone. If we are speaking with a resident in the office we may not be able to answer the phone, or if both phone lines are busy an incoming call will be forwarded to our voice mail. Should you call and get voice mail, please leave a message and we will get back to you promptly, we frequently check voice mail messages throughout the day.

In response to your claim that the deck at pool #3 has not been cleaned in at least 12 days; the deck was washed on Wednesday, May 14th, Wednesday, May 21st, and this morning, Friday, May 30th by the pool cleaning company.  Management and the maintenance staff consistently monitor the cleanliness and condition of the pools and spas to ensure they are kept in a safe and clean condition.  We will continue to make every effort to maintain a clean and safe environment at all of the pool areas.

As always, we appreciate residents reporting any issues or problems in the common areas to the management office so we are able to correct the issue or problem as quickly as possible.

Hello Wayne and I thank you for the reply, But I have kept a record of days pool deck was cleaned..

.It was done May 8th and then not again till May 20 and then again today which is 5/30,...Which left it a messed for Memorial day weekend,

 And today again after it was washed the giant mud puddle was left again,

This is the issue everyone that goes to Jacuzzi track it up, I sent you a picture this morning in email showing this problem after you went out and took your picture of pool....

 I tried to get your attention but to no avail. 

Hoping this will be a weekly Friday wash as explained by Paul Jensen in Letter to me,Not Monday on 1 week and Thurs the next week,,,,It should be done on Friday  to insure pool is in use able shape for Weekend Use....Pic of mud attached ...

Lots of good reading today....

Wayne just doesn't get it.  Why doesn't the Board insist that he return phone calls. 

The MOST IMPORTANT duty of someone in his position is respond to the owners...whether they like the response or not.  

Why doesn't the Board ask for a log for each of the two people in the office of what they do during a day.  

It seems like we go around and around but aren't making any progress at all.

You spend a lot of time on this website, but it must be frustrating for you and so many of us owners that deserve better. 

By the way, the notice for the next meeting....you might want to check but the two people in the office can't even spell "Clubhouse" right.

We all deserve better.

Webmaster Reply:    Real Simple answer....We still have a Board that is more concerned with their power than helping Anasazi Grow,,,The 3 old members were sinking us and now our 2 new members just jumped in the boat to ride along.......We need real leadership here not Board Members who want to walk around with a badge pinned to their chest saying BOARD MEMBER...

We have 2 new Board Members that have promised change??  Are we in for another disappointment ??

Simple Installation !!

Well the first phase of the installation was done in my unit today, It was very simple, the guys who
did it were very nice and it took all of 4 minutes to complete the job, So I urge you to schedule it and have it done..There is NO MESS Involved



Now the hard part was after no return call from Wayne in office, My wife who is a lot nicer than I just took the day off, so this could be completed, The sad part was she took the day off for 4 minutes of work and all she had asked for was an appointment either day with a 5 hour span when she was off work. 

She had spoken with Sharon on Wednesday the day notices were posted and Sharon was polite as always and said she would   ask Wayne    if it could be done.On Friday still  no call from office ??  So my wife called and Sharon did not get an answer from Wayne.....Hence she took the day off to comply

This is ridiculous as many doors here still have notices on them and only a small amount were done today..

So Again Wayne your hospitality and concern for taking care of residents again was thrown out the window..  

All my wife did was see the guys downstairs and said she was home and they came right up....They said they would have worked around her schedule

                                            What would be your reply to that Wayne ??   
When you are the common denominator in all wrong actions here it becomes very apparent to all residents that you really don't care...So I hope as you read it this morning..You maybe start to think.... I can do Better? .....Yesss We know you check it Daily !!    Mice every where ............

So in closing residents if you can get through the calling office part of it ...We do recommend you have this done it is in the interest of our safety here and is mandatory...Simple installation ..No mess..Call and get it completed .......Thank You

Where are our Board Members Through ALL OF This ??

Another 12 days and pool deck 3 not washed AGAIN, Memorial Day weekend with dirty Pool
deck for all to enjoy !!     

 No Excuse for lack of services here !  

Board Member stated Wayne would do this every Friday in a letter 2 weeks ago.

Board MEMBER LEFT AND NO POOL DECK CLEANING AGAIN

Simple answer ...No One cares what happens here after winter,

Brian - ... Doesn't live here ...Why Care ? (Anasazi's Bad Apple)

Faye - ...Follower not a leader

Russ -.Doesn't even want to be on board

Paul -  Out of country

Bob -.....Doesn't talk Silent Member


So this leaves us with dirty pools, no return calls from office and and the usual summer bulls**t, This is why a majority of board members need to be FULL TIME..and RESIDENTS. and CARE...Same problem........ Different Year  !!  

WE ALL VOTED HEAVY THIS YEAR FOR CHANGE AND TO OUR SURPRISE WE GOT NONE !  THE OLD REMAINING BOARD IS STILL CONTROLLING THE THINGS WE HOPED WOULD BE GONE WITH JANET.

Things will NOT change till Brian Mcbride is removed and We get a Real Property Manager

So Looks like the same story as the Obama campaign...CHANGE

Well looks like we got the same CHANGE

But lucrative is not of interest, The Blogsite was started here in 2008 and was developed to keep Anasazi at its best and the place we want to continue calling home.It is the interest of residents like you who care about the things going on here at Anasazi and keeping abreast is whats needed.

We have made strides in losing some of the old stagnant board that had a monopoly here for so many years, It has not been broken as of yet, This year the BIG PUSH is to finally remove Brian Mcbride from our Board, He has not been a resident for over 2 years and yet is our President ?? But with the following here it is a accomplishment that can be reached.

We will this week also go into detail about a term limit here for Board Members, Many have asked and we will address this issue later in the week.  Tony & Inga ..Welcome to Anasazi Talk and Thank you for reading it is appreciated....

Happy Memorial Day



For many of us, Memorial Day is just a day off from work or school, but it also is a solemn day for those of us who served their country and lost our brothers and sisters in uniform on the battlefield. It is a day when we remember the sacrifices made by these heroes so we as a nation can always live in peace.
So as you go about your day off on Memorial Day on Monday, put out your flag, attend a commemorative ceremony, place flags in our local cemeteries on the graves of those who served or wear the traditional poppy. Let's honor the memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
They were the sons daughters, husbands, wives, grandchildren and grandparents who are and will continually be missed by their loved ones.
Memorial Day is exclusively for honoring those who died serving our nation during wartime.
Sacrifice is meaningless without remembrance.
To Those Veterans here at Anasazi ..We Salute and Thank You

A Resident's Opinion.......

A policy should be established !!

If Wayne doesn't have common sense, that all calls are returned by the end of the business day.

 It's not just about property management.....a major part of his job is HOSPITALITY.  This means saying hello to owners and guests while on property or in the clubhouse.  (I was talking with another resident and we were ignored in the Clubhouse when Wayne walked right past us.)

Also, how often are cleaning costs reviewed?  You will not get the same service you had until you bring it back in house...and get a person in charge who sets an example.  The cleaning people need to take pride in their work.  What a concept!   No cleaning company employees will though....  

How about suggesting that Wayne do a comparison with the current company/different companies/bring it back in-house.  Bringing it  in-house would require him to manage the people and their methods...probably too challenging for him.

Ridiculous As Usual Here

So the the morning they put the notices on the doors  that Building 5 will be having smoke alarms installed on
Tues and Wed of next week, So My WIFE calls to set an appointment to have it completed and explain to Sharon that we work and  she is free on Tuesday  from 3pm on and if Wed would be better we need them here between 9am - noon. Sharon who is always pleasant when we speak with her said Wayne is not taking appts just have the whole day that we must be available !!

Well Wayne considering you said it is a 15 minute job and half the building is not here or responded yet, I think you need to make some changes to accommodate those trying to comply

Bottom line Wayne if you cannot come during the time we are available . You will have to make a special appt with us to have this work done, I understand it is mandatory but guarantee all building 5 has not responded as of yet

And NO You do not have permission to enter my home as stated before with out one of us home and You also do not have a key to my unit as last one was given to a maintenance man and never returned to us..Not knowing who has my keys I have changed locks and will not give key till I know they are safe in office

So in closing Wayne we are awaiting your return call per Sharon about Appt...Not holding my breath but if you do not return call and set Appt you can explain to the powers TO BE  ..

We will not allow them to enter the premises.WITH DOG IN HOUSE AND NO ONE HOME....I have tried to comply..BUT NOW THE BALL IS IN YOUR COURT IF YOU WANT THE JOB COMPLETED

Just trying to comply and get the job done as asked during the last 6 board meetings...

like the AAM Connected companies get all the contracts, maybe not always in our best interest ??

Look at what we pay for just Cleaning company..to sweep hallways and mop elevator and wipe railings ?/ The numbers speak loud and clear

BEFORE AAM CLEANING CONTRACT

2011 ----  Cleaning / Janitorial Contract------ $35,970 YR = $2997.50 a month + Janitorial supplies  $360.00

AFTER AAM CLEANING TOOK OVER

  2012 ----  Cleaning / Janitorial Contract-----$71,940 YR  = $5995.00 a month + Janitorial supplies $3600.00


2013 ---- Cleaning / Janitorial Contract----   $82,740 YR  =  $6895.00 a month + Janitorial supplies $1500.00

2014 ----   Cleaning / Janitorial Contract-----  83,808 YR  + $6984.00 a Month +Janitorial supplies $2000.00

All information taken from our own budgets..Dont have to be an accountant to read between the lines..Our Board over the last 3 years accepted this..reason why remaining  prior board members must go after their term expires this year...THEY ALLOWED THIS  !!!

Dirty Feet Again ?? No Reason For It

Mike, Wayne and I discussed this issue this morning. They are to wash the deck on Fridays. He is going to check on it.

Well that was a Thursday and they did  wash dirty pool deck that day which was a Thursday.5/8 .(Maybe Wayne did it that day because it was Board Meeting Night) and he didn't want to hear he wasn't doing his job??

Well it is now Sunday 5/18  and NO ONE DID POOL DECK 3 AGAIN THIS FRIDAY..10 days and counting......Winds causing dirt everywhere and here we are another weekend of dirty pool deck

You wonder Wayne why we have to stay on you..

Maybe a paper calender for your desk so u might remember the list of jobs every week?? or get us a hose for pool  ??

WAYNE...The on the job training program does seem to be working well ??

You have commented in the past that the residents dont like you here at Anasazi ??

Maybe because of your attitude and aptitude...Both are fixable 

Not always trying to beat you up, but these are simple requests...how can we trust you to handle the big ones
