After talking with some inside sources at Police dept, Our suspicions were correct..The people renting in build 5 #105 were the subject of a 2 week undercover investigation here at Anasazi.Those who had
rented unit were from right here in Phoenix allegedly had rap sheets for Drugs
It was also disclosed that 3 arrests were made off property last week during investigation and alleged that those arrested had heroin in their possession at time of arrest was alleged that it was being sold from above unit
Of course this info was off record so no author may be claimed! But sources are very good
Residents in Build 5 were kept pretty up to date by management without compromising investigation, but it was a sad thing that we were told to be careful around unit and no resident involvement with occupants ?? We live here we should not have to worry about this kind of life at $306 a month HOA ?
Now it may be one story about another set of bad renters we have had to endure in the last few months
But find it alarming it was residents who had to call for action not our board
We may have a problem here with short term renters or bad renters BUT Ultimately all problems and fines should be addressed to the owners who allow this..where I come from we call these slumlords
To our board We are hoping this will prompt you to address this short term / bad renter policy here so that we may enjoy the living we hoped for when purchasing here 11 years ago
It is time to revamp our bylaws and take charge of this issue that has haunted us here all summer..and many years before
From the arrested drunk renter 2 months ago who broke in to another unit while resident sleeping at 1am and who threatened our security.... to the alleged drug and gun ring this last month
To the winter residents we also hope you support this as your property values are also affected by this nonsense that occurs here often.You should not have to worry about breakins and drug dealers while you are away
Funny on both occasions here i was the one to report this to both management and security..If everyone here were to quit looking the other way or keep an extra eye out for strangers and bad renters we could work together, In conjunction with the A+ Security staff we have here we could elininate many problems by notifying office when you see weekend renters or such
This is something we all need to band together to do to keep our property free of this kind of activity, and also unite more residents by working together
BUT 1ST WE HAVE TO GET OUR BOARD TO RECOGNIZE WE HAVE A ISSUE ?
I did receive one call from a board member who left me a message and wanting to discuss, I will be returning that very appreciated call in the next day or 2.
