Arizona Rookie League

The Arizona League is a rookie-level professional baseball league run by Minor League Baseball. Games are played from mid-June until the end of August, and a season consists of 56 games. The players in this league are usually from other countries or drafted high school and college players from the MLB June Draft. Major league baseball players may also play in these games as part of a rehab assignment.

Spectators may attend these games for free.

In 2015, the AZ Rookie League (AZL) games will be played from June 20 through September 1.

Wild Weather Friday (Record Breaker)

It was the rainiest June 5th in over 100 years in Phoenix on Friday, Breaking a historic record.

We are enjoying this 72 degree rainy day here in June, The local weather service had shown over 700 lighting strikes a minute at times in the later evening..The Thunder and lighting was a great show from many balconies and those sitting out to enjoy this extra comfortable June evening here at Anasazi..

 PHOENIX ---6/5/2015 -- Infrequent June visitors to the Valley dropped by Friday, ]
as thunder, lighting and rain arrived and made a little history.

According to the National Weather Service, it had never before rained in the area on this date in 100 years of record-keeping. The previous date and last time it rained this early in the month was June 6, 1993.

June is normally dry in Phoenix, but a thunderstorm with moisture from remnants of Tropical Storm Andres provided a bit of a change. Weather officials trumpeted the bit of precipitation on social media.

Authorities attributed lightning strikes to starting at least a dozen tree fires early in the morning. Fire officials were also investigating lighting strikes as catalysts in two house fires in Glendale and Peoria, but no injuries were reported.

Pool 3 Waterfall Near Completion

For those that emailed about waterfall in pool 3, It has been worked on last 2 days and looks like final paint was done on Tuesday...Looks like it should be up and running shortly...Thanks Crew

Interesting... MOST CITY SERVICES, like garbage pick up etc. operate even on holidays. Many private services, lawn etc. also work on holidays so they don't fall behind on regular services. I don't see anything wrong with contracted vendors, lawn maintenance etc., keeping to their regular schedule, holidas included. on Vendors Violations.......Fred

Dear Fred..This is a community bylaw and voted on by the community, Maybe you don't care if people are sawing or making noise on Sunday or Holidays, But the community does and I'm sure the response from other readers will be similar ...NO VENDORS ALLOWED ON SUNDAY OR HOLIDAYS....But THANKS FOR THE EMAIL...We are not the city just a private community...Unfortunately you are about the only resident I have spoken with that believes this should be allowable.....

Pool 3 Waterfall Still Broken

Received many emails about these issue...............It has been over 6 days that the waterfall at pool 3 has been empty and not circulating pool...Also Workout room was supposed to be finished in May....Workout Equipment is in Pool table room ??  HOA'S For what amenities..Another jacuzzi has no jets ??  

Is there a timeline to fix these issue's

The man arrested in build 16 kept claiming he was the owner of the unit ??

Well today I was emailed some public record information on the owner of the unit

His name is BRUCE HODSHIRE...He lives in Build 12 

Hoping Bruce will do the right thing...If his renter was crazy enough to want to fight police...how safe is the community with this guy walking around nightly drunk. AFTER THE BREAKING AND ENTERING LAST WEEK FROM SAME INDIVIDUAL..ASK YOURSELVES THAT QUESTION

Cmon Bruce all eyes in community are on you at the moment to rectify this situation !!
These nightly 1-2am wake ups are getting old

Well it seems like this unit is a new problem causer here, This is the same unit that the occupants were drunk last week and broke into another residents unit..Well the drunks are at it again, Last night from 8pm till after 10pm the same 2 people that caused a major disturbance last week and broke into a unit were out on patio again drunk, fighting and yelling again

Her and him both threatening each other with bodily harm?/        BUILDING 16  UNIT 206

Who owns this unit and why haven't they been notified about this bullshit..1st off our new board is starting to lose it new found FAVORITISM HERE AS MANY MANY AS OF LATE HAVE STATED..no one ever See's a board member walking property !! Ever...

Last night Security had to park outside their unit for over an hour to see if violence erupted again with these 2 idiots and when security finally knocked on their door they told security we are owners and you are harassing us ??? I person left in taxi and the other said we was walking to bar ???lol...................  How many nights of noise must we listen to

12:35 Both residents arrested after 3 Phoenix Police cars are called ..BOTH  FIGHTING OFFICERS ARRESTING THEM...

Short Term Rental Solutions ??

As many of you see here on a regular basis, We have a group of owners and a few management
companies that are still renting weekly or weekend rentals here. This last few months there were security issues with at least 4 short rental units here. This week a group of residents met to start finding 1 or 2 folks per building to document the units that have continuous short term rentals happening. We all know as FULL TIME Residents who lives in our building and who has those few units in each building that are CONTINUOUS WEEKEND & WEEKLY RENTERS

We have  9 buildings as of today with residents that are documenting these units, To which every month can be turned over to Wayne and Board..We have discussed at many board meeting about increasing fines to deter these money monger owners who rent here with no concern about our rules and regulations

Anasazi Talk has also compiled a list of Realtors we suggest per other owners recommendations and also Management companies that are recommended that have been on the up and up here, This list will also give you the names of Realtors and Management companies that residents have had past issues with.

If you would like to be a resident that watches these kind of units in your building, please contact also at same email as above and we will have someone meet with you

If we all work in unison and acquire the info it will be of value to all residents here. Full Time or Winter residents.We cant expect Wayne and crew to watch as they are not here nights or weekends..This should be a community watch effort to try to help Board and Management company start to address this issue that has been long plaguing our community. Lets not let a few bad apples abuse our community.

Another Attempted Break In Build 5 ?

On Monday a Couple who lives on the 2nd floor stopped me to express a problem they are having.

.On 3 occasions in the last week they have been awakened by someone jiggling their door knob or trying to put key in and trying to get in door

On Sunday night 5/25/2015 it happened again and security was called, The guy was gone when
security arrived.This is a very nice young couple and his concern was when his girlfriend is home alone is what worries him most

The resident has stated that on 2 occasions this week he heard the door knob jiggling, he looked out peephole and saw man tried his door and then walked to opposite unit at opposite end of hall, before fleeing down stairwell.

He was dressed in all black on all occasions.He has now put mace at front door ?  Security has assured him they will pass this info to other officers here

Just keep an extra eye out in your buildings for those that do not look familiar .

Our Security Officers do an outstanding job here and we are fortunate to have the same group of officers that know who belongs here and who does not

Vendors Violations

As we all know we have a very strong rule here about vendors on Sundays , Holidays and after 5pm

Unfortunately  this rule is being broken on a regular basis here, This last week we have had workers working on a unit and have been told twice about the noise and construction at 7am in morning,

 this unit also had owners contacted on Thursday and yet On Monday morning (Memorial Day) we had workers here making noise at 7:15am. I then went and told them they had to leave as no vendors were allowed on Holidays...after a bit of banter they decided they should leave..

.NOT BEFORE WAKING ENTIRE BUILDING 5 UP ..2rd time in a week workers started at 7:15am

We have tried to be extra patient here with new neighbors moving in BUT after 2 weeks of cleaning the hall every day due to drywall all over rugs and elevators and endless construction..They may wear out their welcome before they even move in ??


Then the Pool man got heckled by about 10 residents as he also started to blow pool 3 with blower at 8am on
Monday.....Not his fault as he was directed to be here...

BUT AGAIN NO VENDORS ON HOLIDAYS ??

Its getting a bit ridicules here that sleep in on Sundays and Holidays is becoming extinct

Letters to owners don't seem to work...Last week Wayne the workers were here with 4 trucks at 6:30 am in build 5 and started making noise and we had to call office...

WAYNE ???   You were on property..You don't see all these vendors here parked on your rounds in morning at 6:30am   ??? Why should we have to call when they are right out in open  at that time

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH    SOME OF US STILL WORK AND ENJOY A QUIET DAY HERE AND THERE...WHY SHOULD WE NOT BE ENTITLED TO THIS QUIET TIME

Update on Disturbance / Break In

Well after further investigation and talking with other neighbors, It seems the lady that was with the resident/renter?  in Building 16. Actually

 BROKE IN TO A UNIT IN BUILDING 5,

The owner was asleep and heard voices in his condo and woke to find a stranger in HIS CONDO !!

THE LADY ACTUALLY TOOK OFF THE SCREEN TO HIS WINDOW THAT WAS OPEN AND CLIMBED IN !! 

As he walked out of bedroom she was in HIS HOUSE??

Other neighbors in building 5 have also remarked today that the same people are a constant ruckus on patio in evening, My next door neighbor who has lived here 15 years said it an ongoing problem

They live in building 16 and were so wasted they thought building 5 was their building ??    YES Under the influence of ??

Is this  a resident or renter, 
If a renter Was the OWNER NOTIFIED ?/

These 2 people were so wasted they could not walk..she was trying to drag him as he layed flat on sidewalk, hitting him and yelling for over 90 minutes before we had to call security

Breaking into a unit and no one was arrested ???The renter in codo broken into did not want to deal with charges or hassle involved... ....Sure makes folks feel unsafe with these kind of people as residents or renting here...

Too our Board ...Maybe this is a circumstance that should be discussed ...  Renters here that cause this kind of issue needs to be dealt with much more serious than in the past....

This was an issue of someone breaking into a persons house at 1am in the morning ??

I will look to discussion on this issue at next board meeting...Many have remarked the last couple days ....All wondering how Board is going to deal with this very serious breech on Thursday night.A couple older folks in building said they are a bit scared about leaving windows open ??/

We should not have to lock up and close windows on 70 degree night and not enjoy the weather here and worry about a couple nuts breaking in OUR OPEN WINDOWS...??

BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND MANAGEMENT...WE LOOK TO YOUR RESPONSE ON HOW YOU WILL DEAL WITH THESE KIND OF RENTERS OR DISTURBANCES  ??

TIME TO SET A PRECEDENT ??

Another Late Night Disturbance / Break In

Last night around 11:30 pm folks in building 5 started to hear a loud ruckus and the sound of people fighting, It dulled still around 12:15 am when the noise escalated from the second floor of building 5, and security was called..

Upon arrival they found a gentleman named Sean from build 16 and a lady friend so wasted she was dragging him along hallway and the screaming and fighting  continued..

Turns out they were so wasted they were at the wrong building..Trying to get into another residents unit who also was sleeping in building 5...

By 1am Phoenix police arrived and the lady was put in handcuffs and removed ?...Thank you Security for showing quickly after being called...

Now the question ...Renter or Resident ?? If so who is owner or management on this unit ?  ....

1:30am and many residents out on balconies watching this fiasco.....

	RESIDENTS OF ANASAZI THURSDAY, MAY 21, 2015 The Annual Fire Alarm Inspection will be performed on the property. The testing will start at 9:00 a.m. You will be hearing the alarms sounding throughout the property as the fire alarm pull stations are being tested.

The Small Touchs

Just a thanks for the small touches added as of late to the property, With all the big projects being completed, many have not noticed a lot of small changes going on also. One of many posts that board members and committee should not only walk grounds but look over each part of complex from the higher floors..So much is missed from just ground level view.

One was after the tree trimming, It looks nice from ground level but from upper floors it is a world of difference..I bought my unit for the view of pool and extended green I could see, But for many years it was blocked...The tree trimming was one of the best things to happen here with new board. Many I spoke with are also very pleased at how it opens the view again

Now for a great small touch I see Wayne has planted a small cactus garden on pool 3 heater building...when asked him about it, he said he saw how it looked from above when he was in a unit on higher floor and decided to improve it..Well It looks great ,, Small things that make a big  difference And it looks great from upstairs units, many in building 5 have also expressed how good it looks.......Thank You

Now we need to get the tops of umbrella's on tables to be painted also, lol.. They have become quite shabby looking, Another item not noticeable from ground level..Maybe time to paint them to match the buildings ?? Just a thought !!
