Thanks Wayne for the immediate response to the trouble units we have in Build 5, After speaking with you this morning I noticed you ticketed the cars that were violating and also your assurance that

the owner will be notified. Your prompt attention to this matter is very appreciated and a couple others this month also attended to quickly. Thanks for taking the calls and staying on top of things..

Now if our Board will decide to undertake this common issue here we can move forward

To our Board of Directors..Kinda crazy we voted in Full Time residents to deal with summer problems as well and we have no Board Meetings during summer to address these issues

This needs to change as many are getting unsettled with the Board that has disappeared over the summer ?????  You all saw what happened when last Board did not acknowledge complaints from residents..they disappeared ??   We have put our trust in you...Now you need to earn it !!

Short Term Rentals - Out of Hand Here

This is a subject that is brought up on a regular basis and never seem to get any help from any board we have or had in past...But a Verry serious issue none the less

For starters we have a 2 units in build 5 that continuously rent for weekends or weekly rentals,
both were purchased by a canadian couple last year. The 1 unit is worse than other !

Unit 104 in Build 5 has had numerous complaints to office.....7 in the last 2 months alone

This past weekend it was rented for 3 days to a very shady crew of people who had traffic here at all hours for the 3 day weekend..stop in and leave (Drug Traffic) ??  

 They drove through gates the wrong way on many occasions this weekend
 and had people sitting in cars every time we pulled up this weekend...I had a police friend run plates and they were all  people from Glendale and Phoenix Az,... 20 -30 age group!!

Seems they rented this place for a party house for the weekend, they threw trash all over BBQ areas, cups , lids bottles etc. On Monday we got a new set of renters, they said they are here for the week ??

But noticed they just had a key to swim and drove in around 2 and left at 5:30pm

THIS IS ANOTHER PROBLEM AGAIN HERE, PEOPLE LETTING OTHER PEOPLE USE THEIR KEYS TO USE POOL, We see many people drive in go to pool and then drive out

WHERE ARE THESE FULL TIME RESIDENT BOARD MEMBERS WHO PROMISED TO WALK THE GROUNDS??

What many of you dont realize is that short term renters affect the value of our property , because the city if you have enough short term renters you can be deemed a "Hotel which dramatically affects the value of our homes here

So to our "NEW BOARD" Its time to finally take the time and start finding the properties here that have consistent problems with rentals and take care of it

NOT 12 LETTERS AND A $50 FINE  .. THIS IS NOT WORKING AL THESE YEARS

I have discussed this with many residents as of late and all feel the Board needs to take immediate action for this problem, And come up with a plan

We are tired of living in a Hotel!! .I have talked with residents in 5 different buildings who are having the same issues  

 We are not talking about visitors who rent for a month or longer, 

These are the folks who come in for a weekend and treat our homes like a hotel

This will definitely be a topic brought up at next meeting and I assure you we will have more than 3 minutes to plead this case along with others who have to live around this Bullcrap

A Thank you to the Anasazi Staff and Pool company for all the extra work this week getting the pools and property back in shape for the holiday weekend. This was no easy task as the property suffered a good amount of damage from Trees down to Broken windows from Mondays Storm.  ....Thanks again !!


With the exception of Pool 3 being locked all day Sunday,much to the dismay of those wanting to use, Someone forget to unlock on Sunday Morn ?

Dust Storm Driving Tips

With the monsoon Season upon us and a chance for dust storms here on a daily basis, These tips may come in handy if you are caught in a dust storm

                                                            

Summertime brings unexpected and at times unpredictable dust storms. Dust storms are caused when high winds sweep across  dry desert terrain, causing dust to engulf nearby highways. Dust storms are generally brief, but must be taken seriously because of blinding conditions on the highways. Dust storms have been attributed to many collisions resulting in loss of property, injury and death.

Dust storms are more common between the May and September in Phoenix and Tucson,  Persons traveling during the summer and other times of year are encouraged to listen to weather reports on radio and television, especially during windy conditions. Weathermen report when dust storms are possible.

• Avoid driving into or through a dust storm.
• Do not wait until poor visibility makes it difficult to safely pull off the roadway — do it as soon as possible. Completely exit the highway if you can.
• If you encounter a dust storm, check traffic immediately around your vehicle (front, back and to the side) and begin slowing down.
• 
  
• Do not stop in a travel lane or in the emergency lane; look for a safe place to pull completely off the paved portion of the roadway.
• Stop the vehicle in a position ensuring it is a safe distance from the main roadway and away from where other vehicles may travel.
• Turn off all vehicle lights, including your emergency flashers.
• Set your emergency brake and take your foot off the brake.
• Stay in the vehicle with your seat belts buckled and wait for the storm to pass.

Nighttime: A Hazardous Time to Drive

Nighttime, especially Saturday night and early Sunday morning, is the most hazardous time to drive in Arizona.  During 1990, 

47.1 percent of Arizona's fatal accidents occurred between sunset and sunrise.

There are various factors for such tragic statistics, according to researchers at the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Some drivers exceed the speed limit, drink too much and try to drive home when they are too tired to do so. Then there are those who refuse to drive within the range of their vehicle's headlights.

Research indicates about six percent of this state's fatal traffic accidents occur on either Saturday night or early Sunday morning.

The majority of these accidents occur in clear weather and on dry pavement. So driver error plays a key role in highway death statistics. At DPS, we believe most motorists become more aware of highway safety when darkness diminishes their visibility. But there still are too many drivers who drive too dangerously, especially at nighttime.

Pools 1 and 2 Closed

After receiving call from office today,

 It looks like Pools 1 and 2 will be closed for a few days till cleanup can be caught up, There was much damage here after Monday Nights  storm and our Office and crew have been working very hard to clean up after this major storm dumped on us

Also notice even the pool company owner was here personally cleaning pools to help get caught up...This kind of service is unheard of in this day and age..Thanks Kevin for the extra work, It is appreciated
