This is a personal letter from myself and a group of full time residents,after learning that there was a request to have a Canadian flag hang on flagpole here at Anasazi along with American Flag ??
It was voted No
Let me be the first to say I welcome the many new Canadian friends we have met and fortunate to call many friends
But after a discussion with many full time residents here this is something that needs to be addressed
1st the misconception the last few years that the Canadian buyers saved Anasazi
First off this is not Sunny Brook Farm and the foreclosure papers were never here... so Anasazi was not going anywhere just a rumor started by new buyers here
Anasazi would have continued just like the last 25 years before the influx from the North, Now that being said we were fortunate to gain some great neighbors and friends who moved in and did become involved to getting us back to previous luster
2nd talked with a few who were ex military here and thought this would be a slap in the face to put flag up here other than an American Flag
Lets make a hard fact here and this is to be honest not disrespectful, but you are visitors to our country for a limited time a year and tho many of you are from Canada, the majority here are American and think the idea of Canadian flag here is just ridiculous..We welcome you with open arms. But this is an American community with visitors from many countries here....So I believe that the only flag flying here should be an American Flag...Thank You
