FINAL TESTING OF FIRE ALARMS
JAN. 7, 8 & 9, 2016 - BLDGS. 7-11
The Phoenix Fire Department and Sierra Fire will be performing the final testing of the fire alarm devices in buildings 7-11 on Jan. 6, 7 & 8, 2016, between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm. They will be starting in building 7 then moving on to 8, 9, 10 and 11. They will be sounding the pull station in the hallway then entering each unit for 5 to 10 minutes to verify the alarm devices are working properly. They will need to access to your unit during the testing

Well to many emails to mention over last Fridays Hillbilly Hootenanny, First off no mention from anyone that Anasazi broke a Phoenix city ordinance (ORDINANCE P-23) as published here last week. Yes complaint was made by group of residents..1st fine is warning to $300 and we were given instructions on how to stop if this happens again here without a permit
Many Many full time residents are shaking there head in shame of the antics this new winter crew has caused, many phone calls also wanting to join Full Time group here..
I had many emails but the top 2 are, A letter from build 11, Stating the noise was ridiculous in her unit and she claimed it looked like a "BACKWOODS OSMOND FAMILY CONCERT"...LOL
The second email simply sent this picture...( Thanks Build 13)
Yes even tho the winter folks are all saying what a great time, Many full time residents are up in arms and know that there is nothing we can do to stop things here this winter, But a big rally of residents will go into motion come March when we can organize and make plans from this happening in years to come
ENOUGH of the garage sales, pot lucks and music concerts !!
This group of winter visitors are of the 5th wheel and tent group..Not sure if they understand what a luxury community is!! BUT We long time residents are ready to battle..
The bottom line here is...MANY are worried about their investments and the quality of things here changing...STAY TUNED

What happened to the proposal to extend the limit for some Canadians to 240 days?
At least twice in recent years, legislation has been introduced in the U.S. Congress, but not passed, to extend the length-of-stay limit to 240 days for Canadian citizens over 50 years old and their spouses.
However, that proposal is now caught up in the debate over U.S. immigration laws. Now that the White House is bypassing Congress on the issue, and using executive orders,

There could soon be changes to the rules that affect U.S.-bound Canadian snowbirds.
A Canada-U.S. agreement is in the works to share information on who's entering each respective country, and when, for example. The Entry Exit Initiative already covers non-citizens of the two countries, but the plan to start covering citizens as well has been delayed.
Once that's in effect, the U.S. government will be able to easily check whether snowbirds overstay their welcome.
The Canada Border Services Agency cautions that legislative and regulatory changes need to happen before that can be implemented, and says it will provide additional information about the timing "in due course."
There have also been initiatives in Congress over the last few years to extend the time some Canadians can spend in the U.S.
While those proposals are still being debated by American legislators, Canadian snowbirds continue to head to the U.S. in droves under the current rules, which have been in place for some time.

While the Canada Border Services Agency remains mum on the issue, especially regarding privacy concerns, the office of the federal privacy commissioner promises to keep tabs on data collection. Spokeswoman Valerie Lawton said that “we’ve emphasized that each institution will need to demonstrate that the proposed collection and sharing is necessary and effective, undertaken in the least privacy-invasive manner possible and designed so that any loss of privacy is proportionate to societal benefits.”

SAND SCULPTING CHAMPIONSHIP

Salt River Fields is proud to announce the first Sand Sculpting Championship ever hosted in Arizona. The family-friendly two-day beach themed festival will feature ten world-class artists as they begin to design and build one-of-a-kind sand sculptures on Saturday, Dec. 12 and will carve live until 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13. The general public will be able to cast their vote for the People’s Choice award while artists apply the finishing touches to their sand creations, which will range from 10 to 20 feet in length.
